Festina Lente arrived at her new home in Martinez at around 8:30pm last night. After making great time throughout the passage, she finally slowed a bit as she entered the Carquinez Strait, slowing to about 3.7kts until passing the bridge, after which she maintained closer to 5.5kts.
The delivery went smoothly for the most-part. An unplanned stop for additional fuel was made at Morro Bay on Saturday morning, but conditions were so favorable that she still arrived a day earlier than originally anticipated. We couldn’t have hoped for a much better weather window.
I’m very grateful for the excellent job delivery captain John Aros did along with his crew, Ryan Christopher. If anyone needs a delivery captain and would like his contact info, let me know.
Thanks to everyone who was keeping a watchful eye on AIS or the tracking page throughout Festina’s passage. I look forward to having you aboard soon!
